A Top Hamas Commander Killed in Targeted Drone Strike
A top Hamas commander, Abd al-Hadi Sabah, responsible for the heinous attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz, was killed in a targeted drone strike on Tuesday. The Israel Defense Force (IDF) announced the successful operation, which was conducted in collaboration with the Israeli Security Agency (ISA).
According to the IDF, Sabah was hiding in a shelter in a designated humanitarian area in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza. He was one of the leaders of the infiltration into Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, which resulted in the deaths of nearly half of the community’s 400 residents and the capture of many others.
The IDF and ISA said that Sabah was a leader in numerous terrorist attacks against IDF troops. The agencies emphasized their commitment to continuing to operate against all terrorists involved in the October 7 massacre, stating that they would use precise munitions, intelligence, and aerial surveillance to mitigate harm to civilians.
The operation was part of a broader effort to hold those responsible for the attack accountable, with the IDF taking “numerous steps” to achieve this goal.
