Hundreds of “Illegal Immigrant Criminals” Arrested, Flown Out of US in Mass Deportation Operation
Hundreds of “illegal immigrant criminals” were arrested and hundreds more were flown out of the country on military aircraft as President Trump’s promised mass deportation operation got underway. According to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, the Trump Administration arrested 538 illegal immigrant criminals, including a suspected terrorist, four members of the Tren de Aragua gang, and several individuals convicted of sex crimes against minors.
In addition, two military aircraft flew to Guatemala overnight, carrying 81 deportees. According to a Guatemalan official, 79 Guatemalans were returned, including 31 women and 48 men.
The Trump Administration also deported hundreds of illegal immigrant criminals via military aircraft, with Leavitt stating that the largest massive deportation operation in history is “well underway.”
The operation has sparked criticism from some quarters, with Newark, New Jersey Mayor Ras Baraka, a Democrat, accusing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents of “raiding a local establishment… detaining undocumented residents as well as citizens, without producing a warrant.” One individual detained during the raid was a U.S. military veteran.
