Hindenburg Research to Disband After Completing Latest Projects

Hindenburg Research, a financial analysis and investigative reporting firm, is set to disband, according to its founder Nate Anderson. The decision comes after the completion of its latest projects, which have been shared with regulators.

In a note, Anderson stated that the plan has been to wind up the firm after finishing its pipeline of ideas, and that day has now arrived. Hindenburg Research has led to nearly 100 individuals being charged civilly or criminally by regulators, impacting both billionaires and oligarchs.

During its time, the firm has raised concerns about major companies worldwide, including Super Micro Computer Inc and India’s Adani Enterprises. In January 2023, Hindenburg Research published a scathing report accusing the Adani Group of “brazen” stock manipulation and accounting fraud.

Anderson did not cite a specific reason for disbanding the firm, saying there was no particular threat, health issue, or personal problem. Instead, he plans to spend the next six months creating materials and videos to open-source the firm’s investigative model and techniques.
