Hims & Hers Health Donates $1 Million to Trump’s Inaugural Fund

Hims & Hers Health, a direct-to-consumer healthcare company, has donated $1 million to President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration fund, according to CNBC. The company, which offers a range of treatments for conditions such as weight loss, erectile dysfunction, and hair loss, joins a growing list of tech companies that have attempted to curry favor with the incoming administration.

The donation comes as the company is poised to enter the weight loss market with its new offering, which began prescribing compounded semaglutide through its platform in May. The company’s move to offer this cheaper alternative to brand-name medications could potentially benefit from the company’s efforts to work with the incoming administration and shape policy around healthcare issues.

Hims & Hers is the latest in a string of tech companies to donate to the inaugural fund, following in the footsteps of OpenAI and Meta, which both pledged $1 million donations. Amazon and Apple CEO Tim Cook have also reportedly contributed to the fund.

In a statement, Hims & Hers said, “At Hims & Hers, we stand with leaders and advocates who are committed to improving America’s broken healthcare system.” The company’s decision to donate to the inaugural fund is likely seen as an effort to build relationships with key policymakers and shape the direction of healthcare policy in the coming years.
