Former Vice President Kamala Harris’ future remains uncertain following her defeat in the 2020 presidential election to Donald Trump. Despite the lack of clarity, Harris has spoken with family, close friends, and former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, with whom she shares a similar experience. Clinton offered guidance and support, with some speculating that Harris may seek the governorship of California or another presidential run in the future.

Harris has hinted that she’s not done with politics, and in a recent speech, she vowed not to “go quietly into the night.” Her concession speech also echoed her message of continuing the fight for her campaign. After the 2020 election, Harris was chosen as running mate by then-candidate Joe Biden, with some speculating that his eventual decision to drop out of the 2024 presidential race would clear her path for another run.

Despite being endorsed by Biden, Harris faced criticism that her nomination was a coronation rather than a true contest. Hollywood A-listers, including Taylor Swift, also endorsed Harris without success. As she navigates her next steps, Harris is reportedly considering all options, from a potential governorship in California to another presidential bid in the future.
