Sean Hannity took aim at Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on his show Tuesday night, suggesting that Bragg should focus more on cleaning up the streets of New York City and less on a case involving a Good Samaritan.
Hannity was reacting to a recent story about a 26-year-old man who was arrested and charged with murder after intervening in a street fight in Brooklyn. The man, who has not been named, allegedly shot and killed one of the individuals involved in the fight.
“I think DA Bragg should spend less time on this Good Samaritan, who was trying to help, and more time cleaning up the streets of New York City,” Hannity said. “This city is a disaster. The crime rate is through the roof. The murder rate is through the roof. And instead of focusing on that, DA Bragg is focusing on this Good Samaritan who was just trying to help.”
Hannity also criticized the DA’s office for not doing enough to combat crime in the city. “The DA’s office, they’re not doing anything to stop the crime. They’re not doing anything to stop the violence. They’re just prosecuting people who are trying to help,” he said.
The Fox News host also questioned the motives of DA Bragg, suggesting that he may be more interested in making a political statement than in actually reducing crime in the city. “I think DA Bragg is more interested in making a political statement than in actually doing something to stop the crime,” Hannity said. “He’s more interested in being a social justice warrior than in being a DA who actually cares about the people of New York City.”
