As Pete Carroll and John Spytek take the reins of the Las Vegas Raiders, they’re set to embark on a new challenge: building a perennial contender from scratch. With Tom Brady, a legendary quarterback and minority owner, providing input, the duo is focused on constructing a strong foundation around the position.

Carroll, known for his success with Russell Wilson in Seattle, emphasized the importance of building a team around the quarterback, citing his past experiences. “It’s our mission to build this football team up around the quarterback position,” he said. “We’ll lean on Tom as much as we can for his insights, because nobody has the insights he has.”

The Raiders lack a long-term plan at the quarterback position, which Carroll believes is crucial to their success. “We need to support our guy and do what we can to make that work,” he added. “It’s about making a great football team around the quarterback position.”

Spytek echoed Carroll’s sentiments, stating that the team will need to find a leader who is willing to push their teammates to be their best. “We’re going to turn over every stone to find that leader for this team,” he said.

With a clean slate, Carroll and Spytek are eager to get to work, promising to operate at a rapid pace to build a winning team. “We’re starting right now and going for it immediately,” Carroll said. “We don’t have a timeline five or six years down the road. We’re going to start right now and build this team as quickly as we can.”
