Giants WR Nabers rips team’s “soft” effort after loss to Buccaneers.

New York Giants’ Offense Falters Without a Rushing Attack, Leaving Players Frustrated

In a difficult outing, the Giants’ offense struggled to get going under the guidance of quarterback Tommy DeVito, who was sacked four times and hit nine times for 189 yards. The team accumulated only 245 yards of total offense, with nearly half coming in the fourth quarter when the game was no longer competitive.

Star wide receiver Daniel Nabers, who entered the game leading the team in receptions and yards despite missing three games, questioned his usage in the game. He noted that he didn’t receive a target in the first half and only started getting targets in the fourth quarter when the game was already out of hand. “I mean, can’t do nothing. Start getting the ball when it’s 30-0. What do you want me to do?” he said.

Head coach Brian Daboll acknowledged that the game got away from the team, but couldn’t provide answers on why Nabers was not getting the ball in the first half. DeVito received blame from no one, with Nabers stating, “It ain’t the quarterback.” The Giants’ struggles have now led to a 2-9 record, with their home record at MetLife Stadium in 2024 being the worst in the league at 0-7. The team’s scoring average of 10.6 points per game is also the lowest in the league and would be the fewest by any team since the 2000 season if it continues. Frustrations are mounting, and changes may be on the horizon for the Giants as they try to turn their season around.
