A Florida-based frozen yogurt shop assistant manager shared a frustrating story on Reddit after his Gen Z coworkers mistakenly labeled a customer’s cash as counterfeit. The culprit bills, aged 25-30 years, were deemed fake by the teenagers, who assumed they were of a newer design.
Assistant Manager Sam, 22, recounted the incident on r/mildlyinfuriating, where his post garnered over 15,000 upvotes. He stated that he had to “sternly” explain to his colleagues that the bills were old, not counterfeit, and displayed a photo of the bills with “FAKE” and “Fake do not accept” written across them.
