Garbage truck that went viral with Trump’s July 4th joyride joins inaugural parade.

MAGA Garbage Truck to Join Trump Inauguration Parade

A “big, beautiful” garbage truck that gained national attention during Donald Trump’s campaign is set to roll into Washington, D.C. as part of the upcoming inaugural parade on Monday. The truck, emblazoned with “Trump Make America Great Again 2024” on its side, was first seen at a rally in Wisconsin last October, where Trump climbed aboard wearing a bright orange reflective vest and tie.

The truck, owned by Loadmaster, was asked by the Trump team to participate in the parade after it went viral during the campaign. Loadmaster vice president Andrew Brisson recalled how quickly the team mobilized for the stunt, saying, “The campaign team had someone down in the Green Bay Area put together the magnets that we put on the side of the truck. They picked up some flags down there.”

Brisson, who drove the truck with Trump on board, described the president-elect as “someone you could sit down with and have a conversation with. For lack of a better term, he seemed like a normal person.” Trump’s focus on economic issues and connection with blue-collar workers resonated with Brisson, who said, “The state of the economy and inflation. Just the cost of everything is the biggest (voting) factor. The economy is the biggest issue in my mind.”

The garbage truck’s presence in the parade is expected to symbolize Trump’s ongoing appeal to working-class voters, a key group that helped propel his 2024 campaign to success. The event is expected to draw a mix of high-profile attendees, including Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and TikTok CEO Shou Chew. Despite some notable figures opting to skip the event, the truck’s participation is an honor for Brisson, who is “pretty excited to be there” and is preparing to attend the event.
