Four Chilean men, Sergio Cabello, Bastian Morales, Jordan Sanchez, and Alexander Chavez, have been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries, including the home of Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow. The burglary, which occurred on December 9, 2024, was reported by Olivia Ponton, a model and social media influencer who is identified as Burrow’s employee, and her mother, Diane Ponton.
The suspects were arrested on January 10 in Clark County after being pulled over by the Ohio State Highway Patrol as part of an ongoing investigation into multimillion-dollar home burglaries in multiple states. The four men are accused of being illegally in the country or overstaying their permissions and provided fake IDs.
The search of their vehicle led to the discovery of stolen items, including an Old LSU shirt and a Bengals hat, believed to be stolen from the December 9 burglary, as well as two Husky automatic center punch tools, which are used by the South American Theft Group. All four suspects have been charged with engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, participating in a criminal gang, possessing criminal tools, and obstructing official business.
Burrow’s December 9 home burglary was one of several high-profile incidents, including burglaries targeting Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. The NFL responded with a memo urging players to be on high alert and take precautions, including installing home security systems and avoiding social media posts about expensive items or their whereabouts.
