On March 23, deputies responded to a report of a burglary at Burrow’s residence in the 100 block of Lost River Lane. The occupants of the home had arrived to find that it had been broken into and various items were missing.

A thorough investigation was launched, and detectives were able to identify the suspects through surveillance footage and tips from the public.

The four individuals arrested and charged in connection with the burglary are 22-year-old Javaid Kaplan, 21-year-old Christian Garth, 20-year-old Cameron Broadnax, and 18-year-old Ethan Upton. All four are from the Oconee County area.

Kaplan, Garth, and Broadnax are each charged with one count of burglary, while Upton is charged with one count of criminal trespass.

Burrow, the 25-year-old quarterback, was in his first season with the Cincinnati Bengals last year, leading the team to a postseason appearance. He is a Heisman Trophy winner from Ohio State University.

The arrests in this case were the result of a collaborative effort between the Hyde County Sheriff’s Office, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, and the Athens-Clarke County Police Department. Additional charges are possible as the investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
