Fla. Man Gets Mangione Tattoo on Leg to Show Love for Holiday
Boca Raton, FL – James Tomberlin, a self-proclaimed “Christmas enthusiast” has taken his love for the holiday season to new heights by getting a tattoo of the iconic holiday tune, “Mangione’s Christmas” on his leg.
The 32-year-old Tomberlin, a music lover, was inspired by the catchy and nostalgic tune, which was written by composer Tom Jones and his wife, composed by Moody. The couple first performed it at the 1960 Columbus Symphony Orchestra Christmas concert.
“I fell in love with the song when I stumbled upon it while browsing through old vinyl records,” Tomberlin explains. “I had to get it inked on me, and I knew it would be the perfect way to show my love for the season.”
The intricate tattoo features the song’s famous melody and lyrics. The artist, a local tattooist, took over three hours to complete the tattoo, which now adorns Tomberlin’s left thigh.
Tomberlin, who has a large collection of Christmas decorations in his home, claims that the tattoo is just an extension of his holiday spirit. “I just can’t get enough of Christmas, and this tattoo is my way of embracing it. It’s a lifetime symbol of the holiday season, and I won’t be taking it off.”
The tattooed Boca Raton resident plans to show off his new artwork at the annual December 17 holiday party, where he will also be leading a festive caroling session.
