A Sheriff’s Office in Central Florida is Searching for 30 Suspects in “Intersection Takeover” Incident
A sheriff’s office in central Florida is searching for 30 people who were involved in an “intersection takeover” that terrorized drivers and damaged cars on November 30th. The incident occurred at the intersection of South John Young Parkway and Central Florida Parkway, where a large group of individuals set a fire in the roadway and used the space to do donuts around the flames before harassing innocent drivers and blocking them from passing.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) released a statement saying that the suspects “set a fire in the roadway, and used the space for cars to do donuts around the flames” and “in some cases, climbed on and damaged vehicles.” The law enforcement agency is committed to “holding those responsible accountable” and believes that the “reckless and violent behavior poses a serious danger” to the community.
A Tesla driver reported that dozens of people jumped on top of his vehicle and began to kick his windshield, causing it to break, resulting in estimated damage of $60,000. The suspects can be seen hanging out of cars in the video shared by the sheriff’s office.
Photographs of the 30 suspects have been shared by the OCSO in the hopes that the public can help identify them. If anyone recognizes any of the individuals in the video, they are encouraged to contact Crimeline at 800-423-8477. Information shared with the hotline can remain anonymous.
No arrests or injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.
