Florida TikTok influencer arrested for stealing $500 worth of items at Target: police
A popular Florida-based TikTok influencer was arrested and charged with shoplifting after she allegedly stole over $500 worth of items at a Target store in Hillsborough County, authorities said.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, 22-year-old Sydney Raines, who has over 133,000 followers on TikTok, was taken into custody on Saturday afternoon following a report of a shoplifting incident at a Target store in Brandon, Florida.
Deputies alleged that Raines entered the store and removed multiple items, including cosmetics, pet food, and clothing, without paying for them. The total estimated value of the stolen items is approximately $520.
When sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene, they located Raines in the store’s parking lot, where she was detained and later arrested. She was charged with grand theft, a felony offense, and was taken to the Hillsborough County Detention Center, where she remained in custody pending a bond hearing.
