Mysterious Drone Activity Spotted Near Trump’s Golf Club in New Jersey
Authorities are investigating a series of drone sightings in northern New Jersey, including the vicinity of President-elect Trump’s Bedminster golf club. Multiple videos have surfaced showing drones flying over Somerset and Morris counties over the past few weeks.
One resident, Mike Walsh, captured footage of three drones flying over Black River Middle School in Chester on November 25. “I can see three drones right in this view,” Walsh says in the video. “I see them coming right this way.”
The Morris County border is just two miles north of Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster. Drone sightings have also been reported in Bernardsville, Mendham, and Parsippany, among other towns.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that an unusual drone was spotted in northern and central New Jersey skies on November 18. In response, the agency issued two temporary flight restrictions, one of which involves the airspace above the Trump property and is in place until the end of the week.
The FAA said that it takes all reports of unauthorized drone operations seriously and investigates when appropriate. The Morris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident in tandem with other agencies, including the FBI Newark field office, the New Jersey State Police, and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
The incident is ongoing, and authorities are urging the public to report any further sightings to the FAA or local law enforcement.
