Elon Musk Faces Backlash from Investor Over Time Commitment at Tesla

Elon Musk is facing criticism from an investor who claims the entrepreneur is not dedicating sufficient time to his duties as CEO of Tesla. According to Ross Gerber, CEO of Gerber Kawasaki Wealth and Investment Management, Musk’s focus on his new role in the upcoming Trump administration may be costing Tesla investors.

Musk has been appointed to the Department of Government Efficiency, where he will be responsible for reducing federal spending by $2 trillion. As a result, Gerber has expressed concerns that Musk will not be fully available to run Tesla, an electric car manufacturer.

“My problem is that the guy is not working at his company, and he’s working at the job of having to fire government employees,” Gerber said in an interview. “I’m paying someone to not work for my company.” Despite his reservations, Gerber plans to continue investing in Musk’s businesses.

Musk’s new role has also raised questions about the potential impact on Tesla’s reputation and customer loyalty. As a Cybertruck owner, Gerber pointed out that the company is already struggling with self-driving technology, which he argues is not working effectively. He fears that Musk’s involvement in politics may undermine the brand’s credibility among customers.

Experts are split on the potential consequences for Musk’s businesses and Trump’s politics. While Musk’s association with Trump has created an alliance between a powerful businessman and politician, it also risks alienating some customers who may have differing opinions on the Republican president.
