Elon Musk endorses far-right German political party, wading deeper into global politics

Title: Elon Musk Backs Anti-Immigrant German Far-Right Party

Musk, the billionaire allied with former US President Trump, has thrown his weight behind the Alternative for Germany (AfD) political party, which has advocated for populist and anti-immigrant policies. The support comes after the German government collapsed this week, citing the AfD’s strong showing in recent elections and its potential to form an alliance with other parties. Musk posted a video criticizing the German government and advocated for the AfD.

The AfD has attracted controversy for its anti-foreigner and anti-asylum seeker rhetoric, using slogans reminiscent of Nazi Party ideology. The party was recently designated as a hate group by German authorities after its youth wing was tied to extremist activities. Lead candidate Björn Höcke was convicted of saying Nazi slogans in public while campaigning.

Despite the anti-immigrant stance, Afghanistan has seen growing support due to its populist policies against immigration. The party claimed victory in a recent provincial election, becoming the first far-right party to capture a state election in over 70 years.

Responding to Musk’s involvement with the AfD, Leader Alice Weidel expressed his gratitude and wished him along with President Donald Trump upon his upcoming tenure. Lindner, the leader of Germany’s pro-business center-right party, urged Mush to not rush to join the AfD, the party is against freedom businesses and is a far-extremist party.

However, Musk has been keen to support far-right Causes in Europe. Earlier This year, he sparked heated anti-immigration riots UK, writing on his public platform that “civil-war is inevitable” in his response to a post condemning the violent demonstrations on Massive migration and open borders.”
Musk has also taken a liking to Nigel Fang, a far-right Republican British politician and Trump Associate, who said that she was considering funding his Transformation UK party.
