Earlier this Month, Eli Manning Learned He Was a Semifinalist for the 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame Modern Era Class
Eli Manning, the two-time Super Bowl champion, made the list in his first year of eligibility. However, a Hall of Fame voter stated that Manning’s candidacy has become polarizing, with some arguing that he will eventually get into the Hall of Fame, even if it’s not this year. Candidates must reach the selection committee’s 80% threshold to get voted in.
Arguments for Manning’s candidacy include his ability to play at an elite level during the run to the Super Bowl titles, throwing a combined 15 touchdowns against just one interception during those postseasons. However, arguments against Manning’s candidacy include the fact that he was never named to an All-Pro team during his playing career, and his regular-season record of 117-117.
Manning finished his career with a total of 244 career interceptions, the most in the league in three separate seasons. However, he is among the exclusive group of 12 quarterbacks who have won multiple Super Bowl titles. The Hall of Fame selection committee will soon trim the semifinalist list down to 15 finalists, and then to 10 finalists, before allowing members to pick five names for the final vote.
