Eagles touch down in New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX.

Boots are officially on the ground in New Orleans a week ahead of Super Bowl LIX. The Philadelphia Eagles, one of the NFL’s participants, arrived at Louis Armstrong International Airport on Sunday at 3:33 p.m. ET, ahead of a weeklong preparation for the big game.

The Kansas City Chiefs are expected to touch down in the coming couple of hours, setting the stage for the NFL’s 11th New Orleans-hosted Super Bowl, a rematch of a 38-35 Super Bowl LVII victory by Kansas City two years ago that kicked off the team’s potential run to a historic three-peat.

Philly will obviously have something to say about that as it seeks its second-ever Lombardi Trophy, hoping for a little revenge along the way. The Chiefs and Eagles kick off Super Bowl LIX at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, February 9.
