Eagles’ Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown have a fractured relationship, according to a team source.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ 11-2 start to the 2024 season has seemingly put their 2023 woes behind them, but a lingering issue appears to be their relationship between quarterback Jalen Hurts and star wide receiver A.J. Brown. After a close win against the Carolina Panthers, Brown criticized the team’s passing game, leading veteran defensive lineman Brandon Graham to call out Brown’s comments, stating, “the person that’s complaining needs to be accountable.” Graham later apologized for revealing the tension between the two teammates.

Despite being friends before this incident, Graham said, “the person that’s complaining needs to be accountable.” He later clarified that he meant to criticize Brown’s response to the situation rather than Hurts, but his words were taken out of context. Graham acknowledged that he “made a mistake” and apologized to both Hurts and Brown for his comments.

Both Hurts and Brown have a strong on-field chemistry, as evident from their Super Bowl appearance in their first season together. Brown is on pace for his fifth 1,000-yard season in six NFL seasons. The Eagles are looking to iron out their issues and maintain their strong start to the season.
