The New Orleans Saints are having a rough season, and after recently firing head coach Dennis Allen, they’re looking for a way to turn things around. Drew Brees, the Saints’ all-time leader in passing yards, believes that the franchise still has a strong foundation despite the current struggles.
“An organization that knows what it means to put the best product on the field, have a great culture, be able to overcome adversity,” Brees said in a recent interview with Fox News Digital. “Unfortunately, they were on a trend where they had a lot of losses in a row, it wasn’t working, a change needed to be made. Those things happen, but if you ask the leadership on the team, they’re all trending in the right direction right now if they can stay healthy.”
Despite the challenges, Brees has confidence in the Saints’ leadership and their ability to turn things around. He believes that with the right mindset and some tweaks, the team can return to its winning ways.
When it comes to his own legacy, Brees is confident that he’ll be remembered as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. With his record-breaking Hall of Fame career and his numerous accolades, he’s a virtual lock for the Hall of Fame.
In retirement, Brees has focused on his work as an owner, investor, and ambassador for Sports Illustrated Tickets, a company that aims to provide a clean and transparent ticketing process for fans. He believes that his company can make it easier for fans to attend live events and eliminate the hidden fees that often come with buying tickets.
“Sports Illustrated is an iconic brand that resonates with everyone,” Brees said. “I think there’s some incredible nostalgia that comes with the brand, it stands for credibility and something that people can trust. So, while Sports Illustrated started off as a publication, now there’s a lot of different avenues that it’s going.”
