Dejected Eagles Star Breaks Down in Tears Over Apparent Career-Ending Injuries

Philadelphia Eagles’ Brandon Graham’s Season Ends with Torn Triceps

The Philadelphia Eagles’ remarkable season took a hit on Sunday night when star edge rusher Brandon Graham sustained a torn triceps, bringing an end to his season. The 36-year-old veteran acknowledged that his career may be nearing its end, saying in a radio interview on Tuesday that the injury is “pointing towards that.”

Graham, who has spent his entire 15-year career with the Eagles, kept his emotions in check when addressing reporters on Sunday, but he became emotional during his radio appearance on WIP in Philly. He spoke candidly about the difficulties of the injury, saying, “I’m just more hurt on how we’ve been coming every week and trying to defy the odds and being with it and being with them. I’m still with them, I know that. I just needed this right here. I needed to get this out. It’s been awhile since I’ve cried, man.”

Graham, who won the 2018 Super Bowl with the Eagles, expressed his feelings of disappointment and frustration, stating, “I’m hurting a little bit, because, man, for the 15 years I’ve been here, and people doubting me, this was a big one for me, and I think I accomplished a lot this year. I know it’s God’s plan. I’m trusting it. That’s where I’m at. I needed this, man. I needed this in a big way.”

Despite acknowledging the possibility of his career’s end, Graham still hopes to continue playing, saying, “I’m content if I were to have played my last snap, but I still want to play.”
