Deion Sanders predicts son Shedeur will be NFL Draft’s top pick.

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders is confident that his son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, will be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. During an appearance on “The Pacman Jones Show,” Deion was asked about his son’s NFL future, and he responded that Shedeur will be the number-one pick.

Deion believes that the New York Giants will not trade out of the top pick, should they end up with it, and that his son will be the Giants’ choice. The Giants’ general manager and assistant general manager were recently seen attending a Colorado practice, presumably scouting Shedeur and another top prospect, Travis Hunter.

The Giants and Las Vegas Raiders are currently in a tie for the worst record in the league, and the tiebreaker deciding which team receives the number-one overall pick comes down to their strength of schedule. Both teams are in need of a franchise quarterback, and Deion is confident that his son will be the one to fill that role.

Shedeur has had a strong season, completing 69.3% of his passes and throwing for 3,926 yards with 35 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He has also been recognized as the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. Colorado is set to play BYU in the Valero Alamo Bowl on December 28, and Shedeur is expected to play in the game alongside Hunter.
