New York Jets receiver Davante Adams has sparked speculation about a possible reunion with the Green Bay Packers after commenting on the team’s needs for the 2025 season. The Packers made an early playoff exit after a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, despite being the youngest roster in the league for the second year in a row.

Adams, who played for the Packers from 2014 to 2021, believes the team may need to add a veteran receiver to their roster. “I just think it kind of depends on the health of the team,” he said on his “Up & Adams” show. “It’s looking right now like, obviously, they might need some receiver help in one way or the other just based off what they have available. Maybe a veteran or something in there. I don’t know, we’ll see.”

Adams’ comments have sparked speculation that he may be talking about himself, especially considering his strong season with the Jets after reuniting with former quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Jets finished the season 5-12 and are undergoing significant changes, including searching for a new head coach and general manager. There is also a possibility that Rodgers may not return to the team.

Rodgers and Adams played together for eight seasons in Green Bay, and the quarterback’s decision will likely play a role in Adams’ future plans. Adams is due to make $35.64 million in each of the next two years.
