A New Map Shows the World’s Most Dangerous Countries Where Travelers Face Serious Risk
A new map has been released by A3M Global Minorting GmbH, a company that assesses the global security situation and ranks countries on a risk spectrum from low to high. The risk classification is made by evaluating various factors, including entry and exit, transport, infrastructure, health, natural hazards, security, economic security, and special risks.
The map demarcates countries in red, indicating a very high-risk area where travelers will face danger and must expect considerable restrictions. According to the company, travel to these areas is fundamentally advised against, as the security situation is likely to be extremely tense due to armed conflicts, terrorist organizations, violent crime, and/or unrest, with the government having little to no control over large parts of the country. Security forces and rescue services are rarely available, and affected areas may be difficult to access for travelers.
Travelers are advised to thoroughly inform themselves about destination-specific risks through the country database, which provides situation reports and instructions, and to exercise an extreme level of care. The following countries are considered very high-risk zones:
* Syria
* Israel
* Palestine
* Lebanon
* Ukraine
* Russia
