Lamb Continues to Shine Despite Shoulder Injury, Eyes Franchise Records
Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb suffered a shoulder injury in Week 9, but he hasn’t missed a game this season. In 15 contests this year, he caught 101 passes for 1,194 yards and six touchdowns, ranking second in the NFL in receptions and third in receiving yards.
In the Cowboys’ win over the Buccaneers in Week 16, Lamb logged his 21st career 100-yard receiving game, a mark that places him behind only Jason Witten, Michael Irvin, Tony Hill, and Bob Hayes in franchise history. He is also the first Cowboy with 100-plus receptions and 1,000 or more receiving yards in three straight seasons.
Lamb is closing in on more records. With 496 career receptions, he needs just 15 catches over his final two games to set the record for most receptions over a player’s first five NFL seasons, currently held by former Saints WR Michael Thomas. The Cowboys have two regular season games remaining, at the Philadelphia Eagles and versus the Washington Commanders at home.
