Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown may miss the 2025 season due to a right knee injury sustained in a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. The second-year player tore multiple ligaments in his right knee when a Bengals lineman fell into his leg during the game, coach Mike McCarthy said.
Overshown has a “long road of rehab in front of him” and is expected to have a major surgery this week. He was second on the team to star pass rusher Micah Parsons with five sacks before his injury.
The December timing of the injury means that Overshown’s rehab is likely to extend past training camp and into the regular season next year, after his 25th birthday.
Parsons was emotional when discussing Overshown’s injury, saying he felt like part of his “little bro” had been taken away and expressed sympathy for the challenges Overshown will face in his rehab. The Cowboys (5-8) are all but out of the playoffs and will visit the Carolina Panthers (3-10) on Sunday.
