Conservative group launches targeted ads in key senators’ states to back Hegseth, Gabbard, and Patel.

A top conservative grassroots group, Heritage Action for America, is launching a six-figure ad campaign to support the swift confirmation of President-elect Trump’s Cabinet nominees. The $150,000 static digital ad campaign will target nine states, including Alaska, Maine, Louisiana, Iowa, North Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, Utah, South Dakota, and Washington, D.C.

The ads aim to bolster Defense Secretary-nominee Pete Hegseth and will run through December 31. The campaign’s focus is on states where senators are on the fence or have not committed to supporting the nominees. The states are home to senators who were supportive of some of Trump’s policies, but also voted to impeach him.

The ad campaign is the first tranche of $1 million allocated by Heritage Action through Inauguration Day to push for Americans to ask their senators to support the nominees. The group is also planning a direct-text-message campaign and will pivot to focus on different nominees or states depending on the conversation in the Senate.

The campaign is flexible and will adapt to highlight different nominees or states, depending on the Senate’s discussion. Heritage Action plans to do a television ad and air it on national media on Inauguration Day. The group’s goal is to unite the Republican conference around the nominees and get them confirmed in a timely manner, ahead of the midterms.
