Congress Compensates to Resolve Harassment Claims

Rep. Thomas Massie Calls for Congress to Release Names of Members Accused of Sexual Harassment

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) has called for Congress to release the names of House members who have been accused of sexual harassment and used taxpayer money to settle the claims. According to Massie, Congress has secretly paid out over $17 million to settle allegations of harassment, including sexual misconduct, within Congressional offices.

Massie made the call in a post on social media, saying, “Don’t you think we should release the names of the Representatives? I do.” He also pointed out that this is not a partisan issue, but rather a problem that affects both Democrats and Republicans.

Massie’s post comes on the heels of a recent report by the House Ethics Committee into allegations of sexual misconduct and drug use against Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL). Gaetz has threatened to release allegations of wrongdoing against his former colleagues if the report is not withdrawn.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), an ally of Gaetz and Donald Trump, shared Massie’s post and added, “Yes. I want to release the congressional sexual slush fund list. Tax payers should have never had to pay for that. Along with all the other garbage they should not have to pay for.”
