Community pushes beloved leader to consider local retirement option.

It appears that the possibility of trading the Cleveland Browns’ star pass rusher, Myles Garrett, is unlikely. Despite being an all-world talent, Garrett has two years remaining on his contract and is coming off his fourth consecutive season with 14-plus sacks. With his impressive statistics and accolades, including being the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Garrett is a generational player that the Browns should want to keep around.

Cleveland’s general manager, John Berry, confirmed that the team hopes to sign Garrett to an extension, reiterating the importance of the defensive end to the organization. Despite being one of the highest-paid players in the league, with a $25 million-per-year average, there are now edge rushers earning more annually.

Berry emphasized the team’s commitment to keeping Garrett in Cleveland long-term, stating that they envision signing him to a third contract and wanting him to retire as a Brown.
