Boise State Running Back Ashton Jeanty Nearly Won Heisman Trophy in 2024
Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty had an incredible season in 2024, putting up numbers that nearly eclipsed Barry Sanders’ single-season rushing record. Jeanty ran for 2,601 yards and had 29 rushing touchdowns, finishing as a Heisman Trophy finalist. In addition to his impressive on-field performance, Jeanty had a notable NIL valuation of $1.6 million, with deals with SAXX underwear and the Boise Hawks minor league baseball team.
Jeanty advised high school athletes to focus on their craft on the field rather than chasing money, saying “No. 1, don’t chase the bag. Chase your goals and dreams.” He emphasized the importance of hard work and staying focused on the goal, noting that NIL in college football is a “wild, wild west” that requires a professional mindset.
Jeanty declared for the NFL Draft earlier this month and is expected to be one of the first running backs off the board.
