Bill Clinton Says He’s Willing to Talk to President Biden About Pardon for Hillary Clinton

Ad

Former President Bill Clinton expressed his willingness to discuss a potential pardon for his wife, Hillary Clinton, with President Joe Biden. This comes amid concerns that President-elect Donald Trump may target Hillary Clinton after his election in 2016. Trump’s supporters chanted “Lock her up” during the campaign, and his nominee to lead the FBI, Kash Patel, has stated that Hillary Clinton may have committed crimes.

Bill Clinton made the comments during an appearance on ABC’s The View, where he stated that he would be open to discussing a pardon with Biden if Trump were to target his wife. However, he also noted that he may not be the best person to offer advice on pardons, citing his own controversial pardon of billionaire Marc Rich during his presidency.

Clinton also defended Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server as Secretary of State, stating that she followed the rules exactly as they were written and was never found guilty of any wrongdoing. He accused Trump’s State Department of creating a “phony story” about Hillary Clinton’s email use.

Meanwhile, President Biden has caused controversy by pardoning his son Hunter Biden, who faced federal convictions for his handling of a handgun purchase and failure to pay taxes. Biden has also vowed to pardon many political officials who may be targeted by Trump, even if they haven’t broken the law. This move has been seen as a potential attempt to avoid legal fees and repercussions if Trump were to try to target them.

In addition to his comments about a potential pardon for his wife, Bill Clinton also urged Trump not to pursue vendettas against his political enemies, stating that seeking revenge is a “fool’s errand” and that most people don’t get what they want through simple justice.
