Chuck Todd departs NBC News after 25-year tenure.

Chuck Todd Quietly Meets with Media Organizations About Post-NBC Future

Chuck Todd has been holding secret meetings with top editors and leaders from other media organizations, revealing his plans to leave NBC when his contract expires this year. According to sources, Todd has discussed potential roles outside the network, both in broadcast and digital media.

Todd was once a key figure at NBC, hosting Meet the Press and a daily politics program on MSNBC, as well as writing for the network’s website. However, his visibility has significantly decreased since stepping down from Meet the Press in 2023, when NBC announced he would focus on longform projects.

Todd’s future at NBC was already in question after he publicly criticized the network’s decision to hire former Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel last year. The incident led to an immediate backpedaling by NBC, but it also sparked doubts among staff about Todd’s future at the network.
