Chris Hemsworth as He-Man: A Concept Poster that Brings the Iconic Superhero to Life
A new concept poster reimagines Chris Hemsworth as He-Man, the iconic superhero from the 1980s cartoon series. The poster, designed by digital artist Jim Harris, captures the vibrant spirit of the original series and showcases Hemsworth as the perfect fit for the role. Harris cites inspiration from a recent fan-made trailer that imagines a potential He-Man film.
Hemsworth has long been a fan-favorite choice to play He-Man, with many believing he would bring the character’s larger-than-life persona and superhuman strength to life on the big screen. Although he turned down the role in 2012, citing similarities to his Thor character, the concept poster shows what could have been.
The upcoming live-action Masters of the Universe film, starring Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, is set to bring the sword-and-sorcery world to life. The film, directed by Travis Knight, is scheduled for release on June 6, 2026.
Hemsworth’s He-Man feels like a casting opportunity that could have brought incredible star power and gravitas to the franchise. While his decision to sidestep the role is understandable, the idea of Hemsworth battling Skeletor on the big screen will forever remain a tantalizing “what if.”
