Shanghai (Reuters) – People’s Bank of China Governor Pan Gongsheng met with Bank of England counterpart Andrew Bailey in Beijing on Saturday to discuss financial stability and cooperation, China’s central bank announced on Sunday.
Additionally, Pan met top executives from HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, and the London Stock Exchange on Friday. The meetings took place during British Finance Minister Rachel Reeves’ two-day visit to China, aimed at reviving high-level economic and financial talks that have been frozen for nearly six years.
