NFL Takeaways: Week 14

Ad

The Week 14 NFL slate is in the books, and FOX Sports’ experts break down the biggest takeaways from every Sunday game.

Falcons: Atlanta’s collapse is real, with four straight losses and the Bucs taking control of the NFC South. Can the Falcons turn things around and snag a wild-card spot at 9-8?

Vikings: Quarterback Sam Darnold has been phenomenal, and his performance Sunday has raised his stock. The Vikings keep pressure on the Lions heading into their rematch in Week 18.

Saints: Alvin Kamara’s effectiveness has plummeted, with just 44 yards on 17 carries against the Giants. The Saints struggle to overcome this, resulting in a close game.

Giants: This team has hit rock bottom, with an eight-game losing streak and zero wins at home. They’ll look forward to the draft lottery, where they might be able to rebuild.

Panthers: The young Panthers are showing signs of hope, with a promising performance from quarterback Bryce Young. They’ll take the losses as opportunities to build.

Eagles: While their running game is formidable, the Eagles need more from quarterback Jalen Hurts, who passed for just 108 yards. They’ll need more balanced offense to beat top teams.

Jets: The Jets’ season has been a disaster, and it looks like quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ time in New York will be minimal. Offloading him could be a difficult process.

Dolphins: Despite the stress-inducing loss to the Jets, the Dolphins still have a shot at the playoffs. They’ll need to win out and get help from other teams.

Browns: Coach Kevin Stefanski deserves praise for getting something out of nothing from his team. Rookie receiver Romeo Thomas is emerging as a bright spot.

Titans: Execution in key spots has been a major issue for the Titans, leading to costly losses. This could be a coaching problem.

Seahawks: The Seahawks finally found balance in their running game, which propelled them to a win. Quarterback Geno Smith is on a hot streak.

Cardinals: Kyler Murray must improve significantly if the Cardinals want to make the playoffs. The team has struggled without a legitimate passing threat.

Bills: Coach Sean McDermott’s in-game management is still a major concern. His team is on the brink of making the playoffs.

Rams: L.A.’s win over the Bills might not be a turning point in their season, as they still face an uphill battle to make the playoffs.

Bears: Interim offensive coordinator Thomas Brown has been a disaster for the Bears. Quarterback Caleb Williams needs more help from his offense.

49ers: San Francisco leans on tight end George Kittle and wide receiver Jauan Jennings in a close win over the Bears. The team needs more consistency.

Chargers: The Chargers still haven’t figured out how to beat the Chiefs, but receiver Quentin Johnston showed promise. Justin Herbert could use more games like this from Johnston.

Chiefs: Kansas City continues to find ways to win, with an NFL-record 15th straight one-score victory. The Chiefs now lead the AFC by two games.
