Kansas City Chiefs Safety Justin Reid Extra Motivated for Super Bowl LIX

Kansas City Chiefs star safety Justin Reid is extra motivated to play in Super Bowl LIX, not just because his team is chasing its third consecutive title, but also because he’s got a personal stake in the game. Born in Prairieville, Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans where the game will be held, Reid has a special connection to the city and is excited to play in front of his hometown crowd.

Reid has even gone so far as to buy as many as 30 Super Bowl tickets for his friends and family to attend the game, with the average ticket price reportedly around $7,900. “We’re excited to play, and we’re chasing glory,” he said. “But we’ve got to win just for me to break even.”

As a participant in the Super Bowl, Reid and his teammates will receive two tickets to the game, with the option to purchase more on the secondary market. However, Reid is looking to make up for the cost of the tickets by helping the Chiefs win the game. According to reports, the team receives a bonus for winning the Super Bowl, and Reid is eager to be a part of it.

Reid has had a strong season with the Chiefs, recording 87 tackles and two interceptions as Kansas City finished the regular season with a 15-2 record and earned a first-round bye. He’ll look to add to his impressive stats in the big game, and with the Chiefs chasing history, Reid knows that this year’s Super Bowl means a little more.
