Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Drue Tranquill is unbothered by critics who are blaming officiating for the team’s AFC Championship win and those who are complaining about the team making the Super Bowl for the third consecutive time.
After the Chiefs’ 32-29 win over the Buffalo Bills, Tranquill took to social media to respond to the criticism. “Shoutout to the @BuffaloBills.. heck of a battle,” he wrote. “The rest of y’all can take all that ‘ref’ talk & kick rocks. We stand on business.”
Tranquill also had words for former NFL player Will Compton and Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy. He is a veteran linebacker who started his career with the Los Angeles Chargers and joined the Chiefs before the start of the 2023 season.
The Chiefs’ defense, led by Tranquill, has been impressive this season, allowing the fourth fewest points and ninth fewest yards in the league. Tranquill has been a key contributor, with 94 tackles, two sacks, two pass break-ups, and two fumble recoveries in the regular season.
The run defense will be key in the upcoming Super Bowl, as the Philadelphia Eagles’ Saquon Barkley has proven to be a key X-factor this season.
