Chiefs activate Isiah Pacheco from injured reserve, set to return Friday vs. Raiders.

In the Absence of Pacheco, Chiefs’ Hunt Emerges as Workhorse

In the absence of Isiah Pacheco, the Kansas City Chiefs have turned to Kareem Hunt as their top rusher. Hunt has rushed for 577 yards on 155 attempts, leading the team with an average of 3.7 yards per carry, and has scored five rushing touchdowns. As coach Andy Reid looks to balance the playing time, Pacheco’s return to the lineup is expected to be met with a lighter workload initially, allowing him to get back into game shape.

Pacheco, who had 34 carries for 135 yards and a touchdown in his first two games of the season, is expected to ramp up for the stretch run. Although it remains to be seen how quickly he returns to form, his impending return to the lineup is a significant boost for the Chiefs as the stakes continue to rise.
