Cam Skattebo boasts unwavering confidence heading into the CFP game, proclaiming “there’s nobody out there that can stop me.”

Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo, who had a career year with over 1,500 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns, is riding a wave of confidence into the College Football Playoff (CFP). Despite a bye week, the confidence hasn’t wavered, with Skattebo declaring, “There’s nobody out there that can stop me.”

Skattebo, who had two rushing touchdowns in the Big 12 title game against Iowa State and then three rushing touchdowns in back-to-back games against rival Arizona and BYU, doesn’t seem worried about the Longhorns’ defense. “We played in 13 games, and I’ve been the target on each one, so I’m not too worried,” he said.

Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt is also looking to make a statement against the Longhorns, saying he’s watched quarterback Quinn Ewers for a fair amount of time and is excited for the opportunity to prove himself. “I’ve watched him for a fair amount of time now,” he said. “I’m just excited for the opportunity. People keep counting me out since Day 1, and I’m going to go prove why I’m the better quarterback.”

Under head coach Kenny Dillingham, the Sun Devils finished with 11 wins for the first time since 1996 and are looking to make a run in the CFP. Quinn Ewers, on the other hand, didn’t want to get into the hype before the game, saying simply, “Congrats to them on a great year and a great season. I’ve got to watch some of their games. And, you know, he’s a talented player and they’re a fun offense to watch.”
