LIV Golfer Bryson DeChambeau has grand plans for his $125 million windfall from the Saudi Arabian-backed organization, including a massive project to expand his hometown of Modesto, California, by 30%.
DeChambeau, 31, has acquired 200 acres of land in Modesto and plans to build a multisport complex center, which will include a driving range, golf course, residential community center, and more. The project is expected to take 12-15 months to complete.
The golf star, who was paid $125 million to join LIV Golf in June 2022, credits the organization for providing him with the economic viability and platform to pursue his project. He has no regrets about joining the league, despite controversy surrounding it, and believes it has allowed him to focus on entertainment rather than politics.
DeChambeau’s project is expected to not only bring in golf fans but also attract people to the central valley. He aims to create a prominent golf presence in the community and is confident that it will be a success.
The golfer has also been involved in other high-profile ventures, including a video with former President Donald Trump and a SpaceX rocket launch viewing with Trump, Elon Musk, and Sen. Ted Cruz.
