Blue City first responder found dead in ambulette homicide.

New York City police are investigating the death of a 64-year-old first responder who was found dead in an ambulette on Monday. The body of Peter Forrest was discovered by EMS workers in a Marquis Ambulette bus parked on a side street in the Bronx’s Castle Hill Park neighborhood around 10:30 a.m. after someone called 911.

Forrest was found face down in a pool of blood on the floor of the ambulette with trauma to his body and head. He was an employee of a private ambulance company and was declared dead at the scene.

The investigation is being treated as a homicide, but a medical examiner has yet to determine the cause of death. As of Wednesday morning, no arrests had been made in the case.

Marquis Ambulette, the company for which Forrest worked, confirmed his employment and stated that it was cooperating with police but declined to comment further.

The New York Police Department is investigating the death, which is the latest in a series of violent incidents in the city.
