Bills Sign Former Ravens’ WR Diontae Johnson

Texans Sign Wide Receiver Sammy Watkins Amid Injuries to Team’s Wide Receiver Corps

The Houston Texans have signed wide receiver Sammy Johnson just days before their Christmas Day matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Johnson was previously suspended by the Ravens and subsequently released, and will likely need time to get up to speed with his new team.

Johnson joins the Texans at a time of great need, as injuries have decimated the team’s wide receiver corps. Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs have both been sidelined with injuries, while rookie C.J. Stroud has seen his numbers drop as a result.

The team is hoping that Johnson can provide a boost to their offense, but he will need to quickly get up to speed to make an impact. The 28-year-old has two weeks to get acclimated before the Texans enter the postseason.
