The Ravens thanked Buffalo Bills fans for their support of Mark Andrews and donations to the Breakthrough T1D organization, which works towards curing and improving the lives of those with Type 1 diabetes. Andrews was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease as a child, and it has no cure.
Breakthrough T1D, formerly JDRF, expressed its appreciation for the donations, stating that they will support research and advocacy for the 1.6 million Americans who live with Type 1 diabetes, like Mark Andrews.
This is not the first time Bills fans have donated to a non-Bills player’s cause. In 2018, fans donated to Andy Dalton’s charity after his win over Baltimore helped the Bills make its first playoff appearance in nearly two decades. The donation shows that Bills Mafia will support a good cause even when their team is not involved.
