Former President Bill Clinton Hospitalized with Fever
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton has been admitted to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital for testing and observation after developing a fever, according to his deputy chief of staff, Angel Ureña. Clinton, 78, is described as being in good spirits and grateful for the care he is receiving.
A source close to the former president revealed that the situation is “not urgent” and that Clinton will be fine. The source explained that Clinton developed a fever and wanted to be checked out, and is currently awake and alert.
This is not the first time Clinton has faced health scares since leaving office in 2001. He has undergone several medical procedures, including a quadruple bypass operation in 2004 and another heart procedure in 2010. In 2021, he was hospitalized for six days with a urological infection that spread to his bloodstream.
As of this year, Clinton campaigned vigorously for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and recently released a memoir about his post-presidential life. He has also spoken at every Democratic National Convention since 1976, with his most recent address taking place in August.
