Bezos “very optimistic” about Trump’s space agenda.

Here is the article:

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has sued Apple, alleging violations of antitrust laws. Meanwhile, Jeff Bezos, the owner of aerospace company Blue Origin, is optimistic about the incoming White House administration, despite President-elect Trump’s close ties with SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.

Blue Origin recently scrubbed the launch of its New Glenn rocket from Cape Canaveral due to a technical issue. The rocket, which is expected to chip away at SpaceX’s market dominance, is meant to kickstart Blue Origin’s entry into the satellite launch business.

When asked about Musk’s influence on the incoming administration, Bezos said, “Elon has been very clear that he’s doing this for the public interest and not for his personal gain. And I take him at face value.”

Bezos, worth $233.1 billion, is the second-richest man in the world, according to Forbes. He has met with Trump but said they have not discussed the topic of space. Amazon, which has donated $1 million to Trump’s inauguration fund, will stream the event on its Prime Video service.

Bezos expressed his views on NASA’s moon program, saying, “What we shouldn’t do is start and stop things. We should continue with the lunar program for sure.” He also emphasized the importance of continuing to explore and send missions to the moon.

The article also touches on Trump’s plan to make sweeping changes to NASA’s moon program and focus on sending missions to Mars. Bezos, however, remains optimistic about the incoming administration and its potential impact on the space industry.
