Bernie Sanders demands CBS stand strong against Trump.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) Urges CBS Not to Settle with Trump Over 60 Minutes Editing Controversy

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) took to social media on Friday to urge CBS against reaching a legal settlement with President Donald Trump over an episode of 60 Minutes featuring an edited interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump has repeatedly attacked the network, claiming that the editing of the interview was deceptive and made Harris’s responses appear better than they actually were.

In a tweet, Sanders wrote, “CBS may be reaching a legal settlement with Trump because he didn’t like how a campaign interview with Kamala was edited. Really? If CBS caves, the belief that we have an independent media protected by the First Amendment is undermined. CBS: stand tall. Support the Constitution.”
