Bengals’ T Tee Higgins, Joe Burrow lead thrilling win over Broncos, keep playoff hopes alive

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins had a standout performance on Saturday, catching seven passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns against the Denver Broncos. His performance “elevated” the team to a “different level,” according to quarterback Joe Burrow.

The Bengals needed all they could get from Higgins and Burrow, who threw for 412 yards and three touchdowns, as they navigated an unflinching Broncos team and their own issues with clock management and injury luck. The game was marked by near-misses, with the Bengals seeming to have a win in hand multiple times before faltering, only to ultimately emerge victorious.

The win keeps the Bengals’ playoff hopes alive, and also ensures at least one more week of meaningful football for Higgins, who will be a free agent at the end of the season. Jenkins acknowledged that Saturday’s game could have been his last in a Bengals uniform, saying, “It’s a possibility. You never know what happens in the future, but I was just able to — if it is — go out with a bang.”
