The Miracle is Alive in Cincinnati
The Bengals kept their playoff hopes alive with a thrilling 19-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday night. Despite the offense not getting many big plays, it was the defense that stepped up throughout the game, helping the Bengals build a 10-0 lead in the first quarter.
The Bengals added three field goals and a touchdown in the second half, but the Steelers fought back with a late touchdown. However, they were unable to take the lead, and the Bengals were able to kneel the clock to secure the win.
The Bengals’ defense was the star of the show, holding the Steelers to just 17 points and forcing them to settle for a field goal in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Joe Burrow had a strong game, going 37-for-46 for 277 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase had 10 receptions for 96 yards and a first-quarter score.
The Steelers, led by quarterback Russell Wilson, struggled to get anything going, with their offense sputtering much of the game. Wilson finished 17-for-31 for 148 yards, and his receivers were unable to make plays. The Bengals’ defense was able to limit the Steelers’ big plays and keep them out of the end zone.
The win puts the Bengals in a strong position to make the playoffs, with their fate tied to the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins’ results on Sunday. If either the Broncos tie or lose to the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Dolphins lose to the New York Jets, the Bengals will make the playoffs.
